2 Week Board and Train Program

Your dog will be one of 2-3 dogs living with me in my home. I keep the program very small to ensure that your dog receives plenty of training, attention, play, and fun time.

While your dog stays with me, I will send daily pictures and videos. Your dog will get plenty of training (2-5 sessions per day, depending on what the focus is), exercise, play, and downtime. I treat your dog as if they are my own.

At the time of drop-off, you will have your first go-home lesson. This is where I teach you everything I have shown your dog. Lessons will continue on an as-needed basis for the rest of their life!

WHAT A BOARD & TRAIN CAN DO

A board & train can be highly effective for teaching new behaviors and solving many problem behaviors, and is an excellent jumpstart for good manners at home.

I love teaching foundation obedience, leash walking, and house manners in a structured board and train setting.

Reactivity training can also be effectively worked on in a board & train.

Most of these behaviors can be well-generalized away from your home, and then you're given the skills to transfer those commands into your home environment.

Guaranteed Commands:

  • Recall (come, sit and stay)

  • Place

  • Down

  • Heel (loose leash walking/no pulling)

  • Off (jumping, eating inappropriate things)

  • Door Manners/Car Manners

  • Safe Socialization

  • Crate Training

  • Potty Training

  • Confidence building

  • Focus on reactivity/anxiety and how to overcome it.

  • And more!

Unlimited refreshers (lessons) for life until all these are met and understood with dog and owner!

Daily Routine in a Board and Train

During your dog's stay with us, their day starts at 7am, learning their “obedience” along with proper socialization skills, balance, and working around other dogs and distractions. We teach the ability to make proper decisions without constant management.  We will teach, reinforce, and proof obedience and behaviors that will make your dogs succeed in a human-centered world. Dogs, like humans, truly want freedom and we are here to help you and your dog achieve that freedom.

Our focus on socialization, on-leash training and off-leash training and building strong relationships between you and your dog is what we strive for!

Commands we will work on:

    •    Proper Social Skills with people and dogs

    •    Walk politely with you, loose leash walking

    •    Sit “Stay”

    •    Down “Stay”

    •    Place Command

    •    Crate/Kennel Training

    •    Treadmill Conditioning (if maturity allows)

    •    Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc)

    •    We will also address minor behavioral related issues:

    ◦    Jumping, Nipping, Mouthing
